Description
These are yoga therapy sessions designed to customise practices for the individual. The format is best suited for those who wish to learn directly from a senior teacher without the need to travel.
The teacher becomes a mirror for each student, teaching them good form, technique, habits and attitudes.
In postures, it offers an opportunity to learn good alignment for repetitive poses weaved in flow classes. Maintaining good alignment while holding poses builds strength and stability with heightened awareness to prevent injury.
In pranayama, proper techniques are crucial as breath regulates the nervous system as it heals you from the inside out.
These sessions also prepare those planning to attend our future in-person wellness retreats and workshops. They provide foundational knowledge of practices that we build on during our time together in person.
The goal is to learn and unlearn and establish a consistent self-practice customised to support their lifestyle.
The challenge is to be regular and not seasonal with self practice once you are on your own.

I used to be super-aerobic, playing high school and college lacrosse as well as pickup ‘Y’ basketball, when I was younger, then jogging frequently, playing tennis and hiking in the Rockies as I got older. Somewhere, somehow something damaged my lungs (doctors don’t know why) and I get easily winded when exercising, especially in the Colorado mountains, where we live half the year.
A year or so ago, I started working with Nadia on Yoga breathing exercises. Although they won’t heal my lungs, they’ve made a major difference in helping me breath more fully, deeply and efficiently, while helping me recover quicker when winded. Altho I’ve never been one for routines, I now spend 20-30 minutes every morning practicing my breathing techniques.
Nadia has even convinced me to adapt a few Yoga exercises – which I don’t especially enjoy – but realize they help my flexibility, alignment and posture.
