Yoga for Self Care (60 mins) 10 Classes
Kriyas and Pranayama
Description
Breathing well improves circulation and oxygen saturation. It is also through the breath that we can control movements with structural integrity.
Pranayama, the most important limb of yoga, are breathing techniques that start improving physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
Kriyas are preparatory exercises for pranayama. They purify and improve the function of the circulatory system (nadis in Sanskrit) to optimise digestion, assimilation and elimination.
For pranayama, good technique and precision is crucial as breath regulates the nervous system, healing and strengthening it. These breath practices are developed to channel the mind into deeper states of concentration and meditation. Over time these practices sharpen discernment. Our sessions are guidance of classical techniques from Kaivalyadham lineage customised to each students needs.
These practices become part of our daily self care routine helping with stress, sleep, concentration and more.
